Next door to this year’s Taste of Chicago, the Nike 6.0 BMX Open will be underway from June 26-27 in Grant Park. But that is not the good news. The good news is that on Friday, June 26, Lupe Fiasco will be performing a free show in conjunction with the BMX open.
OMG! First a Ye concert in two weeks in Chicago, and now a free Lupe Fiasco show at the end of the month. This is going to be an intense month, no doubt. If you know me, you know that Lupe is in my top three favorite artists of all time, so this is just amazingly, huge news. I’m there, anyone want to tag along? Get at me if you’d like.
Get more details after the jump.

Here we get a first look at the upcoming Oakley Frogskins, a collaboration with snowboarder Shaun White. The sunglasses come in a light blue metallic colorway with matching lenses and pouch. The sunglasses are a limited edition design and will be released some time in June, so stay posted you Oakley/style junkies.
I love to see Oakley expanding their horizons and collaborating with Shaun White. Like I have said before, Oakley is doing some pretty dope things and I am extremely impressed with what I see. Though these are my style and I love the design, I do understand that these shades are not for everyone. Thoughts?
Check out more detailed shots after the jump.

Two iconic brands in their own right have teamed up for an upcoming collaboration as they feature XLarge and Casio G-Shock. Featuring G-Shock’s bread and butter DW-5600, the squarish watch face is marked by a series of diagonal stripes with prints of XLarge’s simple font logo and the year of conception on the strap. Um, dope.
I love Casio’s G-Shock DW-5600 because of the simple design and large face. To me, I love this watch altogether, especially since XLarge jumped on the project. The diagonal stripes mixed with the sold black band mixed with the XLarge font logo mixed with classic G-Shock look makes for a exquisite watch.
Check out more detailed photos of this time piece after the jump.

A breath of fresh air for many hip hop heads as this new compelling project features DJ Premier’s production alongside the incandescent flows of Jay-Z. Undisputedly, two of the greatest at what they do; can’t argue it. The project will be entitled Premier Issue vol. 7: Hova Edition and is set to release July 4th. Stay tuned for updates on this project. Even though this flow is presented on another song by Hov entitled, Pray, the mix to the song is quite dope. Check it out below.

The new Nike Air Flytop Premiums, which comes as part of the Nike Sportswear Fall collection, have been released this past week. The high top sneaker comes in a white/red and a white/blue colorway, featuring premium leathers on the upper, while keeping an overall clean and fresh look. Want some? Check out Blackrainbow right now because they have them in stock.
Honestly, I must reiterate to simple fact that Nike just goes hard, always. These hi-tops are exceptionally fresh, especially the red colorway, though I do like ’em both. When I ran across these sneakers, I was just stunned because, lately, I have seen nothing less than fresh from Nike, especially in their sneaker lines. I absolutely love the detail, premium leather, and the strap. To me, these sneakers are…me.
Check out more photos of each colorway after the jump.

Common Projects continues to expand in a very organic manner. After first introducing their minimal sneakers and selected leather goods, the brand will soon be introducing their first sunglasses, developed with Moscot Originals, the Type 001. The sunglasses will be released in July at Moscot stores and go for approximately $285 USD.
The flat black frames have a hefty look but are surprisingly light, with a hint of enamel at the temple where the metal accent would be on a traditional Wayfarer. The trademark CP gold lettering is here too, but hidden inside the arms, lending the glasses an anonymous, effortless cool.
I love Common Projects and the designs and fashion that they put forth. I think that I love them because of their simple and effortless styles. Well, when i ran across these shades presented by Common Projects, I had to post on them. I love the classic shape that they have taken. Even though that these glasses are so simple, they are extremely dope. Yay? Nay?

Dee & Ricky further spread their Lego styles with this unconventional t-shirt design. After working with Marc Jacobs and with Alife recently, Dee & Rickey got together with Japanese retailer Liquor, Woman & Tears, designing two t-shirt styles, the regular tie and the bow tie. For the retailer they designed two t-shirt styles, using their signature Lego look – a tie and a bow tie t-shirt. Both tees come in two colorways and are now available from LWT.
To me, this t-shirt design is pretty dope, even though it is super unconventional. However, when am I ever conventional? Anyway, this shirt is a hit or miss design. In my opinion, it is quite cool, but I do not know if I would go out of my way to buy one or wear one. However, since in real life, I am a bigger fan of bow ties, I am also a fan of the bow tie more so than the tie. Are you feeling these?
Well, formulate a better opinion after you check out more photos after the jump.
