Nas – Film

August 2, 2009

Awhile back, I dropped a new joint by Nas, but it seems as if the CDQ version is finally surfacing. As we all know by now, it was produced by C-Sick, winner of the Red Bull Beat Battle in 2008. Check it out below.

Amerie – Why R U Remix

July 22, 2009

It seems as if Amerie is officially back, especially with a remixed version of her popular Why R U. The remix, featuring Nas, Jadakiss, Cain and Rick Ross, is a very smooth track, and in my opinion, worth downloading. Be sure to check it out below.

The Beastie Boys x Nas – Too Many Rappers

July 20, 2009

It seems as if the legendary hip hop trio, The Beastie Boys, recently teamed up with Nas for this new track entitled, Too Many Rappers. Though this version is not entirely mastered, it serves as a first draft of their single off their highly anticipated 8th studio LP, Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1, which is slated for release September 15, 2009.

Rock The Bells 2009

July 17, 2009

As I mentioned in another post, Nas rocked the stage during his performance of NY State of Mind, as shown below. However, Nas is not the only hip hop act to rock the stage this year at Rock The Bells festival, seeing that Slum Village, Pete Rock, The Roots, Relfection Eternal, Slaughterhouse, Common, and others had performed.

Hit the break for Slum Village & Pete Rock, The Roots & Skillz’ tribute to Hip Hop, namely Run DMC, Snoop Dogg and NWA, Reflection Eternal and Slaughterhouse.

July 14, 2009

Below you can check out a video of Nas performing one of the greatest hip hop songs, N.Y. State of Mind, at the Rock the Bells tour in Washington, D.C.

Oww. Regardless of how plain Nas’ set is, this is a hip hop anthem that will always have the crowd pleased.

The Large Professor x Nas

July 8, 2009

The Large Professor, one of the sleeping kings of the hip hop under ground realm, has played a major part in what we appreciate today as “New York City hip hop.” His latest album is entitled, The LP and was originally slated to come out on Geffen Records back in 1995/1996, but due to some politics, it was unfortunately never officially released. But as the saying goes, “better late than never,” Large Pro’s The LP will be marking it’s official release this September 1st, but if you don’t mind the MP3 album, you can get that here now. One of the featured tracks is a remastered version of One Plus One featuring Nas, some may have heard it, but here’s the official released copy. Check it out below.

Life Is Like A Film

June 23, 2009

Brand new Nas? Yes, you have heard it correct. Well, I do not feel the need to rant on how crucial Nas is to hip hop or how he is one of the better emcees to ever rap or how this song is absolutely bonkers, instead, I will just trust your judgment and let you download the track. Honestly, the song speaks for itself.

No Apologies Vol. II

June 1, 2009

Well, here is some amazing news for anyone who loves either hip hop music or more simply, good music. Today, DJ Omen and Nas released the second volume of their collaboration to No Apologies. No Apologies Vol. II is a compilation of fairly new music by Nas. This mixtape is nothing shy of poetic fire and masterful lyrics. To me, Nas is easily one of tbe top five rappers of all time and so when you can get ahold of new music by Nas, it is always a blessing. Check out the mixtape below.
