A look into the September roster of releases from Casio G-Shock offers a peek into a new DW-6900 timepiece, alongside premier street label LRG. The watch follows a two-tone yellow/green colorway with hints of white on the backing and detailing. The watch is a perfect way to stand out this fall season.
Though I was not expecting a collaboration between Casio and LRG anytime soon, I am pleased with the product certainly. By now, we all know my infatuation with Casio’s G-Shock watches, especially their DW-600 model, so when a look into their September releases dropped, I had to showcase them here. Personally, I love the DW-6900, especially in this colorway. Thoughts?
Today marks the release of A Bathing Ape’s latest Casio G-Shock collaboration. The “Black Rainbow” DW-6900 features a predominately black body with the classic G-Shock logo done in a colorful multi-colored rainbow motif, along with iconic Bape Head when the backlight is lit up. While this watch will be available at Bape Shop NYC on August 25th, the web-release is slated for today, Wednesday, August 26th.
Two of my favorite companies collaborating? Yes. A Bathing Ape and Casio have teamed up again to produced one of the summer’s hottest G-Shocks to date. The “Black Rainbow” takes on the classic DW-6900 model, which happens to be my favorite G-Shock model. Thoughts? Personally, I love the matte black with the rainbow-esque G-Shock logo.
In a past post, we got to see Kanye West a few of his greatest joints, and today, I am unleashing a video of one Ye’s best songs, Can’t Tell Me Nothing. Check out the performance below.
This is a personal favorite song by Kanye, to be honest.
Someone managed to get some exclusive footage of Kanye West’s performance at the G-Shock event the other night. Below, you can check out Kanye perform is verse from Jay’s Run This Town, so be sure to check it out.
Also, you can check out Kanye perform Get ‘Em High, See You in My Nightmares and Robocop, along with an exclusive freestyle, after the break.
Celebrating the Taiwan leg of their Shock The World campaign, Casio teams up with celebrated shop Phantaci on a special set of their popular G-Shock watches. Included are three different colorways, each adorned with postal service details and Phantaci’s signature logo in theme-matching packaging.
Though it has been some time since I have posted a Casio collaboration, do not think that my love for the G-Shock has been shaken. Personally, seeing Casio team up with Phantaci is quite shcoking, but has deemed to be very rewarding. Persoanlly, I would rather have the pink rendition, but all three are dope. Thoughts?
Check out more shots of the collaboration after the break.
In the midst of a large scale global tour, the following will release out of the Casio G-Shock camp for this July. A number of releases revolve around their iconic offerings, the square-shaped DW-5600 and round-dial DW-6900. Another addition includes the more contemporary stylings of the G-8100. All in all, it’s nice to see some more colorful releases as these have traditionally been restricted to collaboration models. Look for these at select Casio G-Shock retailers this July.
As I mentioned above, it is nice to see Casio coming out with some colorful releases that have traditionally been restricted to collaborative models. Honestly, I am quite impressed with this line up coming out of Casio, though I am not entirely a huge fan of their G-8100 model. However, the colorways of each offering is quite dope and I would easily rock out to their yellow releases. What do you think about these?
Also, be sure to check out the other models and colorways after the break.
In association with the upcoming Casio G-SHOCK “We Shock The World” campaigns, Hong Kong brand Subcrew and their well-known hat offerings have teamed up to provide the official cap of choice for the campaign. The hats are based on past G-SHOCK colorways done by Subcrew and Casio as part of the Unity collection.
I will admit that I am not too impressed with Subcrew’s work with these snapbacks. Honestly, I would not offer to pay over $15 for one of this simply because they look as if they could be bought at a bodega shop on the corner. However, I will say that I do like the simplicity of the hat, and of course, I appreciate that they sport the snapback feature. If I had to choose from one of the hats above, I’d choose the yellow/blue cap of the red/white cap.
Based on the popular Japanese manga stemming from the 1960s, Cyborg 009 and Japanese brand Quolomo team-up with Casio to create an original G-SHOCK DW-5600. The watch itself is featured in all-white body with a black dial and graphics on the band. Both Cyborg and Quolomo mark the top and bottom of the watch respectively while the watch band also features a printed design. The watch as part of Cyborg 009’s 25th anniversary will release on July 19th at e-casio.
Casio’s G-SHOCK collection has proven to be quite impressive lately, especially with collaborations likes this. Quite honestly, this watch does it for me because of the white colorway, black dial, and graphics on the band. Overall, the aesthetics of Casio’s G-SHOCK watch series has been upheld wit this collaboration. I love it. Thoughts?

Casio G-Shock recently kicked things off for their six month “Shock The World” campaign. Starting in London on June 11th, the tour now focuses on Hong Kong under the guidance of popular local brand Subcrew as well as hip hop group 24HERBS and “Father of G-Shock”, Kiuo Ibe. In honor of the South East Asia leg, “Shock The World” has partnered with various popular local figures including Taiwanese fixed gear crew Nabiis, 24HERBS and Singaporean design studio Phunk. Each one created limited edition designs of classic G-Shock models such as the DW-6900 and DW-5600.
Well, from the get go, I love Casio’s G-Shock series, especially the DW-6900 and DW-5600 because of their unique design and renown aesthetics. Out of the three, if I had to pick, I personally love the white and black watch shown on the right because it is simple, yet classy. I personally love the face of the watch, and for some strange reason, I love the print on the band. What are your thoughts?
As usual, check out more photos of the Casio G-Shock by Nabiis, 24HERBS and Phunk.
Two iconic brands in their own right have teamed up for an upcoming collaboration as they feature XLarge and Casio G-Shock. Featuring G-Shock’s bread and butter DW-5600, the squarish watch face is marked by a series of diagonal stripes with prints of XLarge’s simple font logo and the year of conception on the strap. Um, dope.
I love Casio’s G-Shock DW-5600 because of the simple design and large face. To me, I love this watch altogether, especially since XLarge jumped on the project. The diagonal stripes mixed with the sold black band mixed with the XLarge font logo mixed with classic G-Shock look makes for a exquisite watch.
Check out more detailed photos of this time piece after the jump.
