Today, the Jordan Brand release their latest hybrid sneaker concoction to the US market, dubbed the 60+. The kicks, inspired by Michael Jordan’s 60+ point performances, features a mash-up of five celebrated classics into a new 3/4 cut basketball sneaker. The sneakers are available in the classic Chicago Bulls black/red/white color combo, and can now be purchased directly through

Brand Jordan has done it again, by introducing this timeless piece to the market. Personally, I love the fusion of the sneakers, but more so, the classic Bulls colorway. I can spot three different pairs of Jordans in this rendition, what about you?

XLarge x Manhattan Portage Backpack

August 4, 2009

For this upcoming Fall, XLarge worked with Manhattan Portage on a technical backpack. The backpack comes in durable canvas and features different colors on different panels, including camouflage patterns on the front. Furthermore, several logos have been placed on the backpack, adding extra detail and aesthetics. Look out for a release of the XLarge x Manhattan Portage Backpack in the coming weeks.

One of the nicer bags that has come from the XLarge camp in quite some time. Personally, when I ran across this backpack, I was very pleased because of the aesthetics, design, durability and quality of the bag. The graphics on the front mixed with the different colored panels makes for a nice bag. Thoughts?

Phantaci x Casio G-Shock Watch Collection

August 4, 2009

Celebrating the Taiwan leg of their Shock The World campaign, Casio teams up with celebrated shop Phantaci on a special set of their popular G-Shock watches. Included are three different colorways, each adorned with postal service details and Phantaci’s signature logo in theme-matching packaging.

Though it has been some time since I have posted a Casio collaboration, do not think that my love for the G-Shock has been shaken. Personally, seeing Casio team up with Phantaci is quite shcoking, but has deemed to be very rewarding. Persoanlly, I would rather have the pink rendition, but all three are dope. Thoughts?

Check out more shots of the collaboration after the break.

Common Project Fall/Winter High Top Zip Sneaker

July 29, 2009

For the upcoming Fall/Winter season, Common Projects continues to develop and enlarge their offering by introducing a new side zipper high top sneaker. The sneaker comes in black and dark red colorways and features a side zipper, button strap and vintage aesthetics on the sole. The sneaker is now available in both colorways at Colette, so check them out.

Common Projects has ceased to impress me with their creative, yet simplistic design tactics. The zip sneaker by Common Projects utilizes a classic high top silhouette, but adds a creative kick by using a zipper and button strap. As I have mentioned before, I love the simplistic approach that CP takes when it comes to their designs, so of course I would love these high tops. Thoughts?

Check out more photos of Common Project’s Fall/Winter High Top Zip Sneaker after the break.

Cultureshoq x Asics

July 28, 2009

Cultureshoq presents an in-depth look into their upcoming collaboration with Asics and Ronnie Fieg. The shoe’s base, the Gel-Lyte III needs no introduction as it has become the catalyst for Asics’ re-emergence in the lifestyle market within the last few years, thanks to a plethora of collaborations. The upper is comprised of predominate hits of white and grey with subtle purple tones. The shoes will release on July 31st at both DavidZ and their flagship store in New York.

This is the second pair of Asics’ signature shoe, the Gel-Lyte III, that I have featured on here this week. I am quite impressed by the aesthetics and design that Asics is presenting through their plethora of collaborations. Though I am more of a fan of the pair presented yesterday, I do love this more simple color scheme. Thoughts?

Mighty Crown x Nike Sportswear Dynasty High Premium

July 27, 2009

Having worked together in the past, Japanese music group Mighty Crown are once again collaborating with Nike Sportswear on a lesser known model, the Dynasty High. This particular release sees some pretty out of the ordinary touches, including a studded ankle strap and double flag logo on the tongue. The re-visitation of the 1981 original Dynasty High comes in conjunction with the 15th anniversary of the Mighty Crown Yokohama Reggae Festival.

Nike and Mighty Crown have done it again, in terms of creating a very ill pair os Nike high tops. I personally love the Dynasty High, but this rendition is one of my all time favorites. I love the colorway of the sneaker and the out of the box design, in terms of the strap and extra high tongue. Thoughts?

Mita Sneakers x Asics

July 27, 2009

Continuing their endless sneaker collaborations, Mita Sneakers team up with Asics on a special version of their classic Gel Lyte Speed model. The sneakers, limited to 500 pairs, feature inspiration from tropical fruits, that bring to mind the comfortable, lightweight and cushioned run along a tropical beach island. The uppers use gradation to further fortify the Summer vibe while the incorporated nylon materials boast cotton-woven fabrics often used in Hawaiian Summer clothing. Dope? Yes.

This is by far my personal favorite of the Mita Sneakers and Asics collaboration. In my opinion, the sneakers are fun, in terms of colors used, materials used and design. Overall, these sneakers uphold typical Asics aesthetics. Do you like?

The Jumbo Watch

July 23, 2009

Timex 80 presents the Jumbo model, the brands’ classic 80s digital watch, in a new large format. A “universe” of colors are available with names inspired by the planets: Blue Neptune, Brown Jupiter, Green Earth, Pink Venus, Red Mars and Black Mercury. The last one colorway, the red/black watch below, is a limited edition of 500 pieces, only available in the most exclusive boutiques around the world. The industry leading technical details featured on all Timex 80 watches remain the same, with chronometer, date, alarm, water resistant case, and backlit Indiglo display.

Personally, I have always been a fan of the Jumbo watch model from Timex, so seeing it back on the scene creates an excitement in me. This timepiece utilizes timeless aesthetics, bold colorways and classic digital time. I love these watches, especially the Green Earth colorway. Thoughts?

Uffie x Revolver Army Backpack

July 23, 2009

Known predominately as a music artist with an eclectic range of talents, Ed Banger’s Uffie is the mastermind behind this latest collaborative backpack with close associates in Japanese brand, Revolver. The Army Backpack features an all-over print involving a large scale illustration. The bolder of the two colorways includes blue, black and orange/red while a more subdued version is predomiantely white. These bags are now available at Colette, so be sure to check them out.

I love seeing Revolver put out new merchandise, especially when it a collaborative work. I love the bags that Uffie and Revovler have come out with because they utilize a timeless bag prototype, adding some fun graphics. Personally, of the two bags, I prefer the white colorway because it has a more subtle look to it, however, the blue colorway adds more flavor and boldness to the bag.

Check out more photos of the Uffie x Revolver Army Backpack after the break.

Mosley Tribes x Hellz Bellz Spring 2010 Sunglasses

July 22, 2009

Today I have the opportunity to give you an interesting first look at an upcoming collaboration between Mosley TribesHellz Bellz.  It seems as if the two brands worked on two pairs of sunglasses for Spring 2010, one coming in a classic brown, and the other one in a black/red colorway. Apparently the “nose bridge” is removable, but more on that once I receive a closer to the release, so stay tuned.

For anyone who is a fanatic over accessories, especially glasses, these sunglasses are made particularly for you. I love the design of the frames, seeing that both pairs mix a flat top frame and thick arms, coming in fresh colorways. Personally, I would rather wear the classic brown, but the black/red colorway has its perks. Thoughts?

More images of the Mosley Tribes x Hellz Bellz Sunglasses follow after the break.
