The Book-sensitive Reading Lamp, designed by French designers Jun Yasumoto, Alban Le Henry, Olivier Pigasse and Vincent Vandenbrouck, is one of the cooler innovations that I have come across lately. By its looks alone, you can tell how to use the device. The lamp turns itself off whenever you place a book on it, most likely on the page where you last stopped, of course, and turns itself on whenever you remove the book.
Seriously? Though the Book Sensitive Reading Lamp is just a concept for the time being, I absolutely love it. Honestly, this is one of the cooler ideas that would combine pracitical use and home decor aesthestics. Thoughts?
Check out more photos of the lamp after the break.
