Michael Franti says

Michael Franti

To quote Michael Franti, “God is too big for just one religion.”

On that same thought, I would have to agree. Formulate your own thoughts, but as for me, I completely believe that God is most uniquely and fully disclosed in the incarnation of Jesus of Nazareth. However, I do not believe that we can only find God in Christianity; but also in Buddhism and Islam and Hinduism and Judaism and Atheism and in any reality. Wherever there is love, there is God. Wherever there is peace, there is God. Wherever there is justice, there is God. Wherever there is compassion, there is God. Wherever there is mercy, there is God. Wherever there is grace, there is God. Wherever there is fun, there is God. Wherever there is beauty, there is God. Wherever there is freedom and liberty and hope and purity and people helping people, there is God. Wherever there is people, there is God. Wherever there is space and thought and time and ideas, there is God. God is everywhere. To quote the writer of Colossians, Paul, “Christ is all, and is in all.” In the depths of my heart, I believe that God is not contained. God is not contained by anything or any place or anyone. God is bigger.

So, again to quote Franti, “God is too big for just one religion.” Think about it.

“God is too big for just one religion.”

And even maybe for just one faith.
